Description

This Mila copy centre case gearbox has a latch and deadbolt with a single 8mm spindle. It has a 35 mm backset, 92 mm centres and is operated by lift lever.  It could also be known as a Coldseal or  Swiftlocks gearbox.
Please note that M4 x 10mm self-tapping machine screws need to be used with this lock as screw holes are unthreaded.  The connectors for this lock sit over/offset to one side.  There are also variations that feature central inline connectors so please note that if you are replacing a central inline version then some adjustments will need to be made. 
To operate this Mila gearbox lift the handle for the deadbolt to throw halfway, then turn the key to deadlock as only then will the bolt throw the rest of the way.  PLEASE BE AWARE that the latch and deadbolt must be in the exact position when lifting the handle and/or throwing the key (this is usually only achieved when fitted, not before).
To reverse the latch firstly undo the screw in the side of the lock case to remove the latch then reverse it, reinsert it and replace the screw.
